Pattaya gives tourists excellent value for money. There is accommodation to suit everyone's budget. There is accommodation to suit backpackers and high end tourists. Good hotels can be found all around the town, in the entertainment areas but also away from the nightlife, suitable for those with families not wanting to be amongst the noisy nightlife.

There are many bars, especially along Walking Street, where are geared towards the single male visitor where local ladies offer their companionship to lonely single guys. However more recently more bars geared towards couples and families have opened up that welcomes regular tourists that are not looking for raunchy entertainment.

There is the beach that also offers water activities, such as paragliding and jet skiing. The beach is a pleasant place to spend a day relaxing in the sun. There are plenty of sun loungers for rent and all kinds of food for sale so no need to worry about getting hungry.

Pattaya also has a fun water park that includes slides and pools where visitors can cool down after spending time in the sun or on the beach.

For those wishing to get some souvenirs to take back home for friends and loved ones, there is the 'floating market' a few kilometres out of town. Many of the local crafts can be bought here.

If you need some time away from the commercial tourist areas then go to Bali Hai Pier. Here you can catch a boat out to the less developed Island of Koh Larn. It is a one hour trip, so best to leave in the morning and return in the afternoon. Food and drinks can be found on the Island so no need to bring your own.
